ReplyDeleteForeclosure normally happens at the county level. The only time a foreclosure case gets mentioned in federal court is when it involves a federal matter, like bankuptcy.

PACER stands for "Public Access to Court Electronic Records," and is the federal government's online records system.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I used it was to verify Hal Turner's goofy lawsuit against Anonymous in ealy 2007. I have an account, but they charge you by the page for docs, and I am too busy to go sniffing around on BW stuff.
Your best bet would be to hit the Roanoke County General District Court for criminal cases and the Roanoke Couny Circuit Court Clerk's Office for civil matters, such as foreclosure cases.
Virginia, however, is in the middle of revamping its Internet laws, and is not currently posting docs online. You can still call and get info, though.
BW, as some of you know, recently announced that White Homes LLC is liquidating 17 of the 25 properties it owns in Roanoke. White, of course, is spinning this as an opportunity to "engage in other business ventures," but after his blog posts last year that he used credit cards to max out his available cash (as well as his comment that he routinely pays 25% or more on construction loans), it should be no surprise that the dude is hurting for cash.
