First off, Schwartz. Hal is no faggot. He is as straight as they come. He may have had a small battle with drugs, but he got right back on the wagon in short order.

By offering the FBI little tidbits of info he was given a free ticket to help promote White Nationalism. Hal was playing the FBI over, using their protection and their funding to help bring back White America.
Isn't it ironic that with the FBI help Hal was able create thousands of lone wolves ready to strike? Hal never would have been able to achieve this without pretending to be an "informant" because they would have arrested him long ago.
The only reason Hal was arrested was because the FBI finally realized that they were being used by Hal. Hal is much smarter than the FBI - that's why it took them almost 7 years to realize they were being gamed.
